Faculty and Post-Doc Scholars Resource
The purpose of this resource is to intentionally support faculty and postdoctoral scholars from marginalized communities by providing them with access to valuable resources on campus. Â
These scholars often encounter barriers, including overlapping systems of oppression, when navigating academic institutions, which can make accessing crucial resources overwhelming, confusing, and even isolating.  Meaningful support must also acknowledge the complexity and interconnectivity of race, gender, disability, class, sexual identity, and other lived realities in engaging with academia. Â
In response to these challenges, we have created a centralized resource that connects scholars to a network of dedicated services, affinity groups, and support units – many of which are actively challenging systemic inequities and creating accessible and inclusive spaces on campus. Â
Recognizing that the process of navigating these supports and services can be daunting, the Office of Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Anti-Racism (EDI-R) is here to help; individuals who would like support in navigating or engaging with any of the listed resources are encouraged to use the EDI-R . Our confidential, trauma-informed process can support you in connecting with the offices, services, and communities included in this resource.Â
We hope this resource cultivates a campus experience in which scholars from marginalized communities feel welcome, supported, seen, and empowered. Â
