Language shapes how we view and treat each other. Using inclusive language helps ensure that people are not demeaned or diminished because of their identity. The purpose of this webinar is to raise awareness on some facts such as language discrimination, exclusionary bias and harmful expressions, promoting healthy language practices and values in Canadian workplaces.

- Understand and avoid using exclusionary, biased and harmful language Â
- Apply an intersectional and anti-oppression lens to promote inclusive language Â
- Challenge biases, stereotypes and assumptions to recognize the unique experiences of individuals and deserving- equity groups Â
