ECE PhD student Nafeesa Mahboob received the Basil Papadias Student Paper Award award (for best student paper) at the conference in Eindhoven. The paper was co-authored with her two ECE supervisors, professors Claudio Canizares and Catherine Rosenberg.  The title of the paper is "Day-ahead dispatch of distribution feeders considering PEV uncertainties".

The award is presented with a plaque and 1000 euros.

One of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering researchers from À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ receives JELF grant from CFI to help cover infrastructure costs to support their cutting-edge research.  Those researchers, their projects and funding included in today's announcement are:

Professors Vijay Ganesh and Krzysztof Czarnecki, along with their PhD student Jimmy Liang won a at the top-tier conference held in Nashville, TN, USA from July 20-24, 2015. The paper titled "SAT-based Analysis of Large Real-world Feature Models is Easy" explains why very large and complex feature models, encoded as Boolean satisfiability instances, are easy for SAT solvers to solve.

The paper titled "A 0.4 V 75 kbit SRAM Macro in 28 nm CMOS Featuring a 3-Adjacent MBU Correcting ECC" by professors Adam Neale and Manoj Sachdev, has been awarded the (CICC) 2014 Best Poster Paper Award.

The award consists of a plaque and $300. The award will be presented at the keynote session of CICC 2015.

Electrical and Computer Engineering professors Amir Khandani, Lin Tan and Raafat Mansour have received research funding from the Ontario government.  Please read the full university news release for details.

Ming Yu, an electrical and computer engineering professor, has been elected a fellow of the , recognized for his outstanding abilities.

Receiving a DAS grant of $120,000 is Lin Tan, an electrical and computer engineering professor, who is generating novel program repair techniques that automatically generate fixes for real-world bugs.  Please read the full university news release.
