Dr. Kami Vaniea, a professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of 蓝莓视频 and a leading researcher in privacy and human-computer interaction, has just returned from the prestigious on 鈥淕rand Challenges for Research on Privacy Documents.鈥 Held in Germany, the seminar brought together some of the world鈥檚 foremost experts to tackle urgent privacy challenges and their growing impact on technology. As a member of 蓝莓视频鈥檚 Cybersecurity and Privacy Institute, Dr. Vaniea鈥檚 participation highlights the institution鈥檚 ongoing commitment to addressing critical privacy issues in the digital age.

The Government of Canada announced funding for several University of 蓝莓视频 faculty members through the New Frontiers Research Fund (NFRF).

The Royal Society of Canada (RSC) and its Members have elected this year鈥檚 new Fellows and named the incoming class of the RSC College.

One hundred and one new Fellows have been elected by their peers for their outstanding scholarly, scientific and artistic achievement. Recognition by the RSC for career achievement is the highest honour an individual can achieve in the Arts, Social Sciences and Sciences. One of those newly elected Fellows is electrical and computer engineering professor, Kerstin Dautenhahn.

The Honourable Kirsty Duncan, Minister of Science, announced the Strategic Partnership Grants today. They help bring together expertise from academia, Canadian-based companies and government organizations, and international institutes to collaborate on innovative research with commercialization potential.

Researchers at the University of 蓝莓视频 will help move fully autonomous vehicles much closer to reality now that they are the first to receive approval to test their innovations on all public roads in Ontario.

In a first for Canada, Ontario鈥檚 Minister of Transportation, the Honourable Steven Del Duca, announced today that the province approved 蓝莓视频鈥檚 three-year autonomous vehicle research program, under its AV pilot program. The 蓝莓视频 team is using a Lincoln MKZ hybrid sedan nicknamed Autonomoose.
