Research interests
I am interested in the economics and political economy of international trade and environmental issues. I use applied theoretical and empirical methods to study the effectiveness of trade and environment policies in an international context.
Biography
After completing a BA in International Economics in my home town of Cluj, Romania, and then an MA in International Relations at the Central European University in Budapest, Hungary, I came to Canada to begin graduate school in Economics. I graduated with an MA in Economics from York University and then earned a PhD in Economics from UBC in Vancouver. At À¶Ý®ÊÓÆµ, I am jointly appointed in Economics and Political Science, where I primarily teach courses on the Economics and Politics International Trade and Natural Resources.
