(WWD) is an annual celebration inÌýrecognition of the vital role thatÌýwetlands playÌýin supporting biodiversity and providingÌýkey ecosystem services. Each year, onÌýFebruary 2nd, the date when the Convention on Wetlands () was adopted in 1971, WWD events take place all around the world.
