Certain areas of the Great Lakes have suspended plastics ³¦´Ç²Ô³¦±ð²Ô³Ù°ù²¹³Ù¾±´Ç²Ô²õÌýas high as those found in the so-called garbage p²¹³Ù³¦³ó±ð²õÌýaccumulating within large oceanic gyres.
A review article by Van Cappellen and fellow researchers from the Ecohydrology Research Group in this month’s issue of Journal of Great Lakes Research presents the first comprehensive assessment of the plastics problem in the Great Lakes.
