Christina defends her MSc thesis!

Ecohydrology Research Group MSc student Christina Lam successfully defended her thesis on April 29, 2025 in a virtual defence. Christina's thesis is titled "Methane consumption by a landfill cover soil under variable soil moisture and temperature conditions". 

Her research was supported by the “Mitigation of Methane Emission Hot-Spots from Municipal Landfills project undertaken with the financial support of the Government of Canada’s Climate Action and Awareness Fund (CAAF). Christina was further supported by an NSERC Alexander Graham Bell Canada Graduate Scholarship.

Christina was supervised by Dr. Fereidoun Rezanezhad (Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences and Ecohydrology Research Group), and the committee included and Dr. Philippe Van Cappellen (Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences and Ecohydrology Research Group) and Dr. Laura Hug (Department of Biology).
