By-election for faculty Senate representative will be held this fall

A by-election for faculty vacancies on Senate will be held this fall, and all eligible faculty members are encouraged to consider nomination. To appear on the ballot, nominees must provide a brief statement (100 words maximum) along with a completed nomination form. Terms for newly elected Senators vary depending on the vacancy. Faculty members interested in becoming a Senator can find more information, including nomination forms, onthe Secretariatwebsite.
The nomination period will remain open until Friday, September 27.

The University of ݮƵ is gearing up for its first Teaching and Learning Month, running throughout October, and faculty and staff are invited to join the celebration!
Hosted by the Office of the Associate Vice-President, Academic, in collaboration with the Teaching Innovation Incubator, this instructive month-long event is designed to spotlight and enhance the teaching and learning initiatives across our campus. Whether you're a seasoned faculty member or new instructor, Teaching and Learning Month offers a wealth of opportunities to enrich your teaching practice.
Why should you participate?
Teaching and Learning Month is more than just a series of workshops—it’s a chance to be part of a cohesive effort to improve educational practices at ݮƵ. The month will feature a variety of programs and workshops on topics most relevant to teaching in 2024 – generative AI, accessibility and disability inclusion, educational technology, instructional innovations and strategies, work integrated learning – showcasing both new and established resources provided by ݮƵ’s Academic Support Units and other campus partners.

Conference will examine cybersecurity's role in securing Canada's digital future

Renison installs its president today and other notable notes
Renison University College will officially install its 12th President and Vice-Chancellor,the Rev. Dr. Marc Jerry,in a ceremony that takes place this afternoon from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.The ceremonial installation in Renison’s Atrium will be followed by a reception with refreshments in the Great Hall. Dr. Jerry joined Renison in July 2024, and previouslyserved as the president of Luther College at University of Regina.
