Securing Canada's digital future

In 2022, Canada's Innovation, Science and Economic Development (ISED) announced that the would receive $80 million over four years through the The NCC was formed by the Cybersecurity and Privacy Institute at the University of À¶Ý®ÊÓÆµ and four other major Canadian university-based cybersecurity centers. The CSIN program will help Canada become more competitive in the field of cybersecurity and establish a leadership role, ensuring the cyber-resilience of critical infrastructure, privacy and safety of citizens' data, and the safety and assurance of digital ecosystems.

The NCC's mission is to create a multidisciplinary network that bridges all cybersecurity and privacy expertise across Canada to empower the Canadian cybersecurity ecosystem. Its objectives are to:

  • foster and cultivate world-class cybersecurity-related research and innovation
  • develop new highly qualified personnel and upskill professionals
  • accelerate the commercialization of valuable intellectual property into and through industry members

Recently, as part of the from the NCC, 8 CPI Members across 5 Approved Projects received $3.4M+ total funding .
