Award description:
An award valued at $1,000 will be provided annually to a full-time graduate student registered in the Master’s or Doctoral program in the Department of French Studies in the Faculty of Arts at the University of À¶Ý®ÊÓÆµ.The student must be working as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Nantes in France, or in some cases when this is not possible, the student will create a cultural report during their time in Nantes.

This fund is made possible by donations from alumni and faculty to the French Department trust fund.

Eligibility & selection criteria: 

  • Selection to be based on students in good standing, and working at the University of Nantes, France.
  • An application is not required.
  • The decision will be based on merit, a minimum cumulative average of 80%, and progress in the program, related to the completion of program exams.
  • The Chair of the French Department will identify the candidate(s) and select recipient(s) each Fall and/or Winter
