This award was created to celebrate David Johnston’s pivotal contributions to Institute for Quantum Computing (IQC) at University of À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ, his passion for leadership and his enthusiasm for continuous learning, innovation and achievement. Value description:
Up to three awards valued at $2,500 will be given annually to current graduate students at the IQC at the University of À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ.
Eligibility & selection criteria:Ìý
- Full-time current graduate students at the IQC at the University of À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ.
- Selection to be based on an illustrated outstanding commitment to scientific outreach and community engagement through volunteerism.
- Selection will recognize students who are dedicated to promoting public awareness of quantum information research, general science and IQC in industry or the scientific and local communities.
- Selection will celebrate students who have engaged the community to provide educational experiences that embody a culture of continuous learning and promote interest in scientific research.
- This Award is intended to be in addition to any Research or Teaching Assistantship support from the department or a supervising Faculty Member.
- This Award can be held simultaneously with other graduate awards (subject to the requirements of other scholarships/awards).
The award will be administered in accordance with University of À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ policies and practices (and the external scholarship programs as applicable) as amended from time to time.
