Congratulations to Yung Priscilla Lai, Kyung Eun SunÌý²¹²Ô»åÌýHiroki TakamuraÌýon winning theÌý2^nd place poster presentation (capstone design project) for designing an undergraduate food processing laboratory for the University of À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ, heldÌýat the 4th annual Canadian Engineering Education Association (CEEA) Conference in ÌýMontreal, QC onÌýJune 17-20, 2013.ÌýÌý

PhD student Drew Higgins has been named the recipient of the 2013 Electrochemical Society (ECS) Canadian Section Student Award for his research on nanostructured fuel cell and battery electrode materials, carried out under the supervision ofÌýProf.ÌýZhongwei Chen.

The have placed À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ at No. 46 (No. 2 in Canada) for Engineering & Technology this year, surpassing both UBC and McGill University.

Congratulations to two of our graduating students—Diana Wong and Marielle Magtibay—on winning first prize in the Humanitarian Initiatives Committee IEEE Student Competition at the 2013 Canadian Conference on Electrical and Computer Engineering.

Chemical Engineering graduate studentsÌýMadjid Soltani and Navid Bizmark were both awarded the University'sÌý2013 Outstanding Achievement in Graduate StudiesÌýhonours for their graduate research.ÌýFive of these honours were awarded this year at the Doctoral level and four at the Master’s level.
