Megan Goar (she/her) is a PhD student in Neuroscience within the Department of Kinesiology. She holds a Master of Science in Kinesiology with a specialization in Neuroscience and a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with a minor in Management Studies, both from the University of À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ.

Her doctoral research explores how the brain dynamically adjusts its reliance on sensory cues to perceive the environment and maintain balance. She is particularly focused on vestibular adaptations, especially in contexts where sensory information from other modalities, such as vision, conflicts with vestibular input and can lead to symptoms like motion sickness.

Megan completed the Fundamentals of University Teaching program in 2025 and is currently pursuing the Certificate in University Teaching. She has held multiple teaching assistant roles at the University of À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ and has been actively involved in community outreach, including hosting interactive lab sessions for high school students. She is passionate about fostering meaningful connections with students and creating engaging, inclusive learning environments.
