Brandon Dickson (he/him) is a final-year PhD student in Global Governance at the Balsillie School of International Affairs, University of À¶Ý®ÊÓÆµ. Brandon holds an Honours BA in Political Science and English and Cultural Studies from Huron at Western, a BEd with Intermediate-Senior History and English teachable subjects and a specialization in International Education from Western University, and an MA in Global Governance from the University of À¶Ý®ÊÓÆµ. Brandon’s doctoral research focuses broadly on Global Sustainability Governance and the influence of global sustainability agendas on organizational decision making.  He has also worked on and led various research projects related to active learning and accessibility in university education.
Brandon has taught in classrooms from kindergarten through to university settings. At the post-secondary level, Brandon has served as course instructor for courses in education and political science at Western University, Cape Breton University and St. Clair College as well as in roles as a TA and Head TA at À¶Ý®ÊÓÆµ. As an Ontario Certified Teacher, he has taught in History and English courses as well as English Second Language at the secondary level.  Brandon completed CTE’s Fundamentals of University Teaching (FUT) program and is currently completing the Certificate in University Teaching (CUT) program. Brandon loves supporting TAs in growing their teaching toolkits and becoming more comfortable implementing active learning strategies and effective assessment in their own practice.
