Description

This workshop is aÌýQuestion & Answer (Q&A) sessionÌýfocusing on the effective use ofÌýLEARN for TAs.ÌýÌý

By the end of this session, TAs will be able to:Ìý

  • use theÌýLEARNÌýenvironment to communicate with students,Ìý
  • use some of the basic tools withinÌýLEARN, specificallyÌýhow toÌý:
    • send Announcements,Ìý
    • upload Content,Ìý
    • sort by/interact with Groups
    • monitor Discussions,Ìý
    • grade Dropbox items, and
    • enter grades

For effective participation in the Q&A session there is pre-reading you are required to do that is found inÌýwhich is in the LEARN course "Teaching Online: Basic Skills for TAs (CTE1406)".Ìý To gain access to the LEARN site with the pre-reading, you must .

Note: TAs should be enrolled in the course they will be working in as a TA with the appropriate permissions and should know the sorts of tasks that they will be asked to complete in that course to make best use of their time in theÌýprerequisite module and the Q&AÌýsession.Ìý

This session will be offered remotely through MS Teams.Ìý

Registrants will receive a link to join the session, 24 hours before the session begins.Ìý

AFTERÌýcompleting the prerequisite module,Ìýplease come prepared to this Q&A session with your remaining questions.ÌýYour LEARN questions will be answered and specific scenarios in LEARN will be demonstrated, as needed.
