Last year, CTE reached over 1,400 instructors, graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, and staff members through a variety of cross-disciplinary, institution-wide events and programs, including our annual conference that was attended by 422 participants! Writing a statement of teaching philosophy and teaching dossier are excellent ways to reflect on who you are as an instructor and consider your growth and development with regards to teaching.

Effective Lesson Plans (CTE1202)
Want to learn how to plan lessons that actively engage students? Learn a practical and adaptable lesson planning model in the Effective Lesson Plans (CTE1202) workshop. Participants complete the 2-3 hour self-paced module and activities online, followed by a 1.5-hour live session.
Teaching STEM Tutorials (CTE1111)
Learn practical strategies for planning, facilitating, and assessing your tutorials at Teaching STEM Tutorials (CTE1111). This session is geared toward tutorial TAs in science, engineering and math.

Announcing the October 2025 LITE Grant recipients
The Learning Innovation and Teaching Enhancement (LITE) Seed Grants support small-scale teaching and learning research projects with funding of up to $7,500.
