The University Tenure & Promotion Committee has awarded Philip Beesley the designation of University Professor.

The University of À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ owes much of its international reputation and stature to the quality of its eminent professors. University of À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ recognizes exceptional scholarly achievement and international pre-eminence through the designation 'University Professor'. Once appointed, a faculty member retains the designation until retirement.

This summer, Engineering Science Quest is offering summer day camp programming for children entering grades 2 to 5 at the School of Architecture Campus in Cambridge. Brooks camp, named in recognition of School of Architecture graduate, esteemed architect, Alison Brooks, offers hands-on STEM activities throughout the summer.

The Koffler Gallery, in partnership with Swiss Architect Manuel Herz and Canadian historian and curator Robert Jan van Pelt, announce the world-premiere exhibition of The Synagogue at Babyn Yar: Turning the Nightmares of Evil into a shared Dream of Good. This international exhibition is brought together with assistance from Canadian architect Douglas Birkenshaw and through architectural photography by celebrated Dutch photographer Iwan Baan.

DIALOG’s design residency in honor of Tom Sutherland invited 9 students from 6 Universities across North America to take part in a 4 day design challenge set in the heart of Calgary, along the Bow River. I applied to represent the University of À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ with an interest in contributing to the dialogue through my research interest in how the built environment can foster socio-cultural experiences and relationships with Water.

The Longevity of Masonry

This year’s masonry design competition challenges students to develop an innovative conceptual masonry design which highlights the sustainable nature of masonry wall systems. Successful applicants will present visualizations of masonry systems and their architectural potential.
