I amÌýan Assistant Professor in the Department of Applied MathematicsÌýat the University of À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ.

Before joining À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ, IÌýheld postdoctoral fellowships at the Ìý- Rio de Janeiro, Brazil; Ìý- L'Aquila, Italy; Ìý- Linz, Austria; , UK and , Germany. I received my PhD in Mathematics at Ìýof Rome, Italy, jointly with a PhD in Applied Mathematics at the Ìý- Metz, France.

My research interests aim at developing control and optimization strategies for complexÌýdynamics, described by ordinary or partial differential systems of evolution, with applications to engineering and life sciences. Main areas of applications rangeÌýfrom environment and sustainability, health and energy. Examples of applications includeÌýthe optimization of utility distribution over networks, heat transfer phenomena in the presence of crack and fractures, control of epidemics, robotics for environmental monitoring and precision agriculture.

I amÌýcurrently a member of the Technical Committee 2.6 - Distributed Parameter Systems - of the Ìý(IFAC), and sit on the Advisory committee of the Cybersecurity and Privacy InstituteÌý(CPI) of the University of À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ. Besides,ÌýI am a member ofÌýthe University of À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ's Water InstituteÌý(WI);Ìýthe À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ Climate InstituteÌý(WCI);Ìýthe À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ Institute for Sustainable AeronauticsÌý(WISA);Ìýthe À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ Data and Artificial Intelligence InstituteÌý(À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ.ai); andÌýthe À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ Institute for Sustainable EnergyÌý(WISE).
