´³´Ç¾±²ÔÌý, Damon Wells Professor of Earth and Planetary Sciences at Yale University, for a presentation about how the Arctic Ocean's Beaufort Gyre is a dominant feature of the Arctic system, a prominent indicator of climate change, and possibly a control factor for high-latitude climate.
Professor Chi-Wang Shu from Brown University will be the speaker in this year’s firstÌýApplied and Computational Mathematics Distinguished Lecture. Applied Mathematics professor Sivabal Sivaloganathan has been elected Fellow of the Society for Mathematical Biology (SMB) and will be honoured in the 2023 Annual Meeting. The Society’s Fellows Program was launched in 2017 and aims to name up to two fellows every two years in recognition of their contributions to mathematical biology.
