Support for Undergradute Students

Whether you're a 1A or 4B student (or anywhere in-between), we can support you with any writing or communication task. Need help understanding an assignment? Want to know if your paragraphs flow or your arguments make sense? Looking for information on how to revise and edit your work? We've got your back!

From one-to-one and group appointments, to online resources and workshops and more, the Writing and Communication Centre is here to support you in all your academic writing and communication tasks, in any discipline, at any stage of your process. When and Where

The Write Spot

Located on the second floor of South Campus Hall, the WCC's student space, The Write Spot offers student-focused writing space, free coffee and tea, walk-in appointments, and bookable meeting rooms.

Open Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. 

Monday, May 5 to Friday, August 22, 2025.

Please note that our reception desk is closed daily between 12:00 and 1:00 p.m.


Walk-in appointments in The Write Spot

In-person appointments and walk-ins in The Write Spot begin on Monday, May 12 and end on Friday, August 10, 2025. All spots are available to both undergraduate and graduate students.

May 12 - June 1

  • Monday 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
  • Friday 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

June 2 - July 14

  • Friday 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

July 14 - August 3
