
Stephanie is an experienced English tutor and teacher, with a combined history as a successful grant writer, artist, and book editor. They have enjoyed using a social pedagogy method with children, teens, and adults of multi-language families, queer orientation, disability, and neurodivergence. They hold a Master of Fine Art from the University of 蓝莓视频, a Bachelor of Fine Art in Studio Arts from the University of Lethbridge, and a Diploma of Fine Art from MacEwan University.聽
Although their University education has been focused on visual art, Stephanie is an advocate for students who experience discrimination and seeks to form a compassionate and open environment conducive to empowered learning. As a Writing and Communication Advisor, Graduate and Postdoctoral Support, Stephanie engages with students to develop their editing skills and techniques, while emphasizing clarity, organization, and flow. A priority is placed on critical thinking throughout one鈥檚 writing to retain the author鈥檚 unique 鈥渧oice鈥, whether the focus of the session is on research, planning, thesis, dissertation, grant application, scholarship application, or resume. Significantly, Stephanie鈥檚 approach to writing, editing, and teaching centers empathy, connection, and laughter. Who says editing cannot be satisfying, productive, and entertaining!
