This workshop is offered jointly by SSO and the Writing and Communication Centre, and will introduce students to a number of useful time management and writing strategies for Architecture Graduate Students as they enter their thesis term.

°Õ³ó¾±²õÌýScience Café is one of the events organized by the University of À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ Library during . Aimed to promote public engagement with science in an informal, discussion-rich setting, this event will feature three postdocs from the Faculty of Science. In addition to the individual’s research interest, the panel also highlights howÌý²¹²Ô»åÌýwhy a scientist’s research question is formulated.

Academic integrity requires that you paraphrase and summarize other people’s work.  Through hands-on practice, you will learn these skills and how to integrate your supporting research for improved credibility.

Build a better research essay by using the Library’s resources and databases to explore a topic, develop a research question, write a thesis, and build an argument. Research-based essay planning and development will help you create a more complex argument and essay structure.

Securing copyright or permission to publish are essential considerations in academic publishing. In this workshop, you’ll learn to navigate copyright challenges using research organization methods, writing skills, and licencing documentation.

Please bring your laptop and an image, graph, or figure that you would like to use in your work with you.

You already know about the Matrix Method from Literature Review Part A and have completed one.  Now in Part B, learn to situate your research within the body of existing related scholarship.  Bring your completed matrix and your ideas for how best to organize and present the research so that it meshes with your own contribution to the field.
