        Deadline to complete First-Year Guarantee Residence Application.

        Incoming new students who miss the 100% Guarantee deadline can apply to live in Campus Housing through the Vacancy Application.Ìý

      3. June 23

        Activate your uwaterloo.ca email address.

        Follow the steps to set up your À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ email account. Your email address is your WatIAM username + @uwaterloo.ca.Ìý

        The University sends all official communications to your @uwaterloo email address. This includes emails about course selection, fee deadlines and messages from your professors. Your @uwaterloo address is also how you will access virtual webinars through À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ Ready.

      1. July

        Campus Housing room assignments will be sent out starting in July. Please monitor your @uwaterloo.ca email address (you will receive details to set up your email in late June) regularly to confirm your contract and secure your room in residence.

      2. July

        Apply for a fall term student parking permit.

      3. July 2 to 9

        Course selection period - new students

        To determine if you need to create your course wish list during the Course Selection Period, review course registration information for new undergraduate students.

      4. July 8 to 17

        Faculty Ready Days:

        • Tuesday, July 8, 2025 –  Faculty of Arts (includes Accounting and Financial Management, Sustainability and Financial Management)
        • Wednesday, July 9, 2025 –  Faculty of Science
        • Thursday, July 10, 2025 – Faculty of Math
        • Saturday, July 12, 2025 – Faculty of Engineering
        • Tuesday, July 15, 2025 – Faculty of Health
        • Wednesday, July 17, 2024 – Faculty of Environment

        LEARN modules will also open on your Faculty Ready Day.

        Tuition and fees due

        Pay in full or become "Fees Arranged"; a Fees Arranged Extension fee applies after this date.

        Plan for bank processing time: 3-5 days for Canadian banksÌý²¹²Ô»åÌý14 days for international banks.

        International Orientation

        Registration opens mid-August

      3. August 31 to September 6

        First Year Orientation

        Registration opens mid-August.

        Check-in begins on August 30, 2025.

        Change-of-Coverage Period

        The is the period at the beginning of the term when you can either opt out or enrol your spouse and/or dependent children in the WUSA/GSA Health & Dental Plan. Check  for the official change-of-coverage deadline for fall term.
