The SYDE/BME Readiness Assessment is a diagnostic test. The questions on the assessment cover fundamental background for the courses that students will take in their first term. It is not for credit – rather, a tool to help identify areas where students need support. The assessment can be done from a personal computer with an internet connection.Â
Students can access the assessment via UÀ¶Ý®ÊÓƵ's system. To login into LEARN, students should use their email address and password (e.g., for email address jsmith@uwaterloo.ca, username is jsmith). Once logged in, the course name is "2019 Incoming SYDE and BME Engineering Students Community".Â
Students are advised to first complete a number of included practice quizzes before completing the test.
