
This fall the University of 蓝莓视频 will welcome ten exceptional first-year students who were awarded a Schulich Leaders Scholarship, including Charlotte Brown. Brown will be joining the Faculty of Science in the Biotechnology/Chartered Professional Accountancy program.聽
The Schulich Leaders Scholarship is Canada鈥檚 largest annual science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) scholarship. There are 100 recipients throughout Canada, with individual scholarships valued at $80,000 and $100,000.聽Recipients are among the best and brightest recent high school graduates, with both stellar grades and a dedication to community service that sets them apart.

The Faculty of Science welcomes聽Charlotte Alexandra Brown from Perth, Ontario into the Biotechnology/Chartered Professional Accountancy听辫谤辞驳谤补尘.

鈥淚 developed my passion for biotechnology when I worked on a Moonshot Project with a team of other young innovators,鈥 Brown says. 鈥淲e came up with an idea for our own company in the field of biotech by designing a product that would help people manage stress and burnout. It was such a fun and rewarding experience to work with other like-minded individuals while solving important problems in the healthcare field.鈥澛
This experience led Brown to decide that pursuing a degree that combined biotech and accountancy was ideal for her. She says she is especially excited by the co-op opportunities at 蓝莓视频 and is looking forward to getting more experience working in the fields she loves.聽
Brown is a student with many talents, she was involved in a wide range of clubs and activities throughout high school.聽She played hockey and soccer, participated in symphonic and jazz bands as a trumpet player, and was very active as an executive member of Best Buddies, a peer-support network.聽
