With over 20 years of international experience in technology and sustainability,ÌýJoeÌýhas been at the forefront of leveraging technology to foster sustainabilityÌýsolutions.ÌýHis commitment to innovation and collaboration has been instrumental in making sustainable development a tangible priority across various sectors. As a member of the U.A.E. Global Council on SDGs,ÌýheÌýplayedÌýa pivotal role in championing sustainability solutions at COP28, working closely with the U.A.E. government, private sector, international organizations, and academiaÌý- particularly with theÌýAbu Dhabi based , where he is a non-resident research fellow at the .

FormerÌýHead of Energy & Water Knowledge Hub with the International Committee of the Red Cross, Joe’sÌýstrategic leadership was instrumental in engaging stakeholders across academia, the private sector, and government,ÌýtoÌýsuccessfully establish a knowledge hub in the U.A.E., laying the groundwork for a comprehensive long-term strategy that aligns with theÌý´Ç°ù²µ²¹²Ô¾±³ú²¹³Ù¾±´Ç²Ô²õ’Ìýsustainability goals and commitment to addressing climate change onÌýa regional level.

Before thatÌýJoe,Ìýwas the Head ofÌýSustainability, Corporate Responsibility and Government & Industry Relations for Ericsson in region Middle East and East Africa.ÌýIn that role, Joe led and managed different functions in 23 countries, and initiatedÌýseveralÌýTechnology for GoodÌýprojectsÌýthat leverageÌýinformation and communicationsÌýfor socio-economic development and low-carbon economy.

Currently a PhD Candidate in sustainability managementÌýat the University of À¶Ý®ÊÓÆµ – CanadaÌýwith a focus on the role of the private sector in mitigating security threats related to climate change and natural disasters in developing countries.ÌýJoe holds a Master of Environment and BusinessÌýfrom the University of À¶Ý®ÊÓÆµ, aÌýBachelor in Applied SciencesÌýfromÌý±ô’U²Ô¾±±¹±ð°ù²õ¾±³ÙéÌýdu Québec À Montréal - Canada, and is fluent in English, French, Arabic and Italian.
