​​​​​​Daniel Lacroix is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of À¶Ý®ÊÓÆµ. Dr. Lacroix's expertise is in the behaviour of wood structures under extreme loading, the strengthening and retrofiting of wood structures, and resilient building design. Most recently, Dr. Lacroix has taughtÌýMechanics 2 forÌýArchitectural Engineering, Advanced Structural Design in Timber, and he is looking forward to teaching the Timber: Design, Structure, and Construction for Engineers next term.ÌýHis research currently investigates various woodÌýelements reinforced by fiber reinforced polymers (FRP) that areÌýsubject to various types of loading.
