This is an introductory course for those with little or no prior knowledge of the Korean language.Ìý In this course, students will learn the Korean alphabet, basic sentence structures, and basic verbal skills.

Integrated Korean 2 - In-person

Prerequisite: KL 115Ìýor equivalent knowledge of Korean language

Course code: KL 125

Continuing from Integrated Korean 1, this course introducesÌýstudentsÌýto more advanced sentence structures and vocabularies. Emphasis isÌýplaced on the use of expressions in and for real-life settings.

This course continues from Integrated Korean 2 and introduces students to complex sentence structures, common phrases, and useful expressions.

This course continues fromÌýIntegrated Korean 3 and focuses on improving spoken Korean by practicing conversation through individual and group activities while developing students'Ìývocabulary and grammar skills. By taking this course, students willÌýlearn to speak Korean more clearly and gain confidenceÌýconversing in Korean.

Prerequisite: KL 215 (previously KL 155) or equivalent knowledge of Korean language

Course code: KL 225

This course is for Korean language learners who have completed KL 215 (previously 155) or have equivalent fluency.Ìý In this course, students will learn how to communicate with fluency and accuracy by continuing to practice informal register and various expressions for sharing opinions.Ìý The learners will also learn new expressions to compare/contrast and to advise.Ìý This course will help learners to participate in conversations on a variety of topics and to build towards more fluid communication in diverse scenarios.ÌýÌý ÌýÌý

NOTE:ÌýAs of March 2023, Renison continuing education’s administrative fee has been incorporated into the total tuition price as listed above and will be charged to all registrants.

Tuition Discounts

Tuition discounts are no longer offered for language courses.Ìý


Cancellation, Withdrawal, and Refund Policy

  • The administrative fee of $15.00 CAD is non-refundable unless the course is cancelled. Ìý

  • If a course is cancelled, the tuition fee (inclusive of the administrative fee) will be refunded to students in full.Ìý Ìý

  • Students cannot defer their payments.Ìý

*The administrativeÌýfee appliesÌýto all students regardless of whether theyÌýhave previously taken a Renison continuing education and/or Renison non-credit course previously.

  • Students may withdraw from a course up until 9am ET the Monday before the week classes begin for a full tuition refund, not inclusive of the $15.00 CAD non-refundable administrative fee. . Ìý

  • Students may be refunded 80% of their tuition, not inclusive of the $15.00 CAD non-refundable administrative fee after the originally posted registration deadline (the Monday before the first week of classes),Ìýup until 9am ET the day before the second class. After this date, refunds will not be issued.Ìý

  • NOTE: registration deadlines may be extended at the discretion of CE staff; the refund and cancelation policy applies to the originally posted registration deadline (9am ET the Monday before the week classes begin).Ìý

How to register

Registrations must be submitted through our student portal. Follow these steps to register for a continuing education course:

  1. Visit theÌýÌýpage in portal.
  2. SelectÌý‘D±ð³Ù²¹¾±±ô²õ’Ìýnext to your course of interest.
  3. SelectÌý‘D±ð³Ù²¹¾±±ô²õ’Ìýnext to the course session you want to register for (if there are no course sessions listed, dates have not yet been confirmed for upcoming classes; please check back later).
  4. SelectÌý‘Add to Cart’; if you are not signed in to or signed up for an account, you will be prompted to do so now.
  5. Once in your shopping cart, selectÌý‘Checkout’.

You will receive confirmation of your registration through e-mail to the e-mail address attached to your account. For questions about your course, please contactÌýcape@uwaterloo.ca.
