Teaching interests

My teaching style facilitates active learning and I have a goal to make learning enjoyable and rewarding for all students. I practiced recreation therapy for over a decade and bring practical experience into the classroom, where learning can be translated and applied to the field. This is accomplished through critical thinking, assignments with transferable skills and hands-on activities where students will consider ways their learning will be useful in the future.
