The Council of Academic Leaders
The Council of Academic Leaders is convened by the Vice-President, Academic and Provost and includes the President and Vice-Presidents, Presidents/Principals of AFIWs, Deans, Associate Deans, Chairs and Directors, and other members of Executive Council.
The Committee is convened by the Provost as a forum for discussion of issues or developments shaping strategic directions and important high level operational items, as well as for annual updates on planning topics of widespread interest and impact.
2025-26 Meeting Dates
For the 2025-26 academic year, CAL meetings will occur on the dates below from 10:00am-12:00pm.
The agenda and meeting pre-read materials will be sent directly to all CAL members by the Tuesday prior to each meeting. Meetings will be held in person to support meaningful engagement and collaboration. A virtual meeting option will also be provided for those who are unable to attend in person.
Please note that only CAL members are permitted to attend these meetings. CAL members may request permission to assign a delegate to attend a particular meeting on their behalf by emailing ProvostOffice-General@uwaterloo.ca.
