Postdoc Engagement Liaisons are hard at work to advocate for the postdoc community at the University of À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ.

Postdocs and their families were invited to join Graduate Studies and Postdoctoral Affairs at Columbia Icefield to see the Women’s À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ Warriors hockey team take on the Guelph Gryphons.  

Postdoctoral scholars who joined the University of À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ under the Provost’s Program for Interdisciplinary Postdoctoral Scholars or the Provost’s Program for Black and Indigenous Postdoctoral Scholars and their supervisors were invited to have lunch with Dr. James Rush, Vice-President, Academic and Provost and Dr. Justin Wan, Interim Co-Associate Vice-President, Graduate Studies and Postdoctoral Affairs.  

Graduate Studies and Postdoctoral Affairs celebrated National Postdoc Appreciation Week with events throughout the week for postdoctoral scholars.

Effective August 1, 2024, the University of À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ has updated its postdoctoral guidelines to provide more clarity, better support, and a structured framework for postdoctoral appointments. The guidelines include key changes to improve clarity, fairness, and alignment with current standards. 

Launched in 2022, Graduate Studies and Postdoctoral Affairs (GSPA) is proud to support the oversight of the Provost’s Program for Black and Indigenous Scholars and the Provost’s Program for Interdisciplinary Scholars.

Graduate Studies and Postdoctoral Affairs is excited to announce the launch of the Postdoc Engagement Liaison initiative. 

The recent federal budget announcement brings promising news for current and prospective postdoctoral scholars at Canadian universities.
