Our ݮƵ Optometry Clinic has moved to the nearby location of 419 Phillip St., Unit C, as of October 21, 2024. This location will be open until late 2026 while the ݮƵ Eye Institute is under construction. Our downtown Kitchener location (Health Sciences Optometry Clinic) remains open with no change to service.

Dania Abuleil, a PhD student at the School of Optometry & Vision Science, has received a research grant from Sigma Xi, one of the oldest and largest scientific organizations in the world.
Funding from the Sigma Xi Grants-in-Aid of Research (GIAR) program will support Dania’s efforts to objectively measure changes in the brain following electrical stimulation.

A graduate student at the University of ݮƵ has developed the first standardized chart to measure vision for reading in Arabic – a language spoken by hundreds and millions of people around the world.
I wanted to get a standardized chart in Arabic for testing my patients. I then discovered that we don’t have one.
Dr. Natalie Hutchings has been recognized with the Faculty of Science’s Excellence in Science Teaching Award (ESTA).
Numerous letters of support from both students and faculty accompanied Hutchings’ nomination. These cited her exemplary performance in all aspects of teaching at the School, whether in the classroom, lab or clinic.
