Students accepted into the program are automatically considered forÌýentry-based awards, which are contingent on full-time attendance, academic standing, and eligibility.

This award supports and promotes the training of community leaders from areas of conflict around the world in theories and practical methods of conflict management and transformation. Funds will be used to offset costs of education for students from areas of conflict while they are enrolled in PACS courses or Certificate Program in Conflict Management courses at Conrad Grebel University College.

This scholarship supports a student or students enrolled in the Master of Peace and Conflict studies at Conrad Grebel University College at the University of À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ, who demonstrate commitment to social and racial justice.

This award is for students who demonstrate a commitment to the ideals of the PACS program through a letter of application that outlines personal experience in peace issues, goals for study and for long term career aspirations.

To make an educational experience at Conrad Grebel accessible to Mennonite students from culturally diverse backgrounds and to aid Conrad Grebel in attracting a student body that is more reflective of the cultural diversity within Mennonite Church Canada.

Award Criteria

• Students from a Mennonite congregation attended predominantly by recent immigrants or,
• Students who are, or whose family are, recent immigrants attending a Mennonite congregation or,
• Indigenous students with a connection to the Mennonite Church.

Internship Categories

This award offers financial assistance to students with a confirmed place in designated Conflict Management Certificate Workshops.

Award Criteria

• Student is enrolled as a full time/part time student in MPACS.
• Student has permission from the Academic Advisor to enroll.
• Student is aware there are additional costs (in excess of the bursary and tuition).
• Student is responsible for the full workshop fee (including bursary) in the event the student completes the workshop but does not complete the academic component.

Up to $400 per workshop (maximum two applications per student)

This awardÌýprovides support for students in the MPACS program who are completing an approved internship as part of their studies. The fund prioritizes unpaid internships aligned with the mission, vision, and values of the MPACS program.

Award Criteria

• Be enrolled in good standing in the MPACS program.
• Be approved to complete an internship as part of PACS 625.
• Identify as having financial need and/or belonging to an equity-deserving group, including international, Indigenous, racialized, 2SLGBTQ+, single-parent students and students with disabilities.

Ìýare offered by The Simons Foundation Canada and the International Security Research and Outreach Programme (ISROP) of Global Affairs Canada (GAC).

A total of four awards of $5,000 are available to Canadian Master’s and/or Doctoral candidates to support the independent research and writing of an academic paper responding to a specific Non-Proliferation, Arms Control and Disarmament (NACD) topic. Awards also include domestic travel support to Ottawa where successful candidates will present their completed papers during a special event at Global Affairs Canada Headquarters.

The scholarship is intended fourth year undergraduate or graduate students and promotes education in areas of peace and conflict transformation, international human rights, and law and policy that relate to refugees and displaced persons. °Õ³ó±ðÌýÌýis open to graduates of any Canadian university who engage in (commence or continue) graduate study (mater's or doctoral) in any field, in Canada or elsewhere.Ìý

One Open Scholarship is awarded annually. Its value has lately been $8500 but is subject to change. Applications are due February 1.

Loans and needs-based funding are pursued indepndently of entry-based awards and application-based awards.

Canadian citizens, permanent residents, and protected persons resident in Ontario may be eligible for theÌý, a financial aid program that helps subsidise university studies through grants and student loans.

International students may pursue funding through loan providers such asÌý.
