Laurie Strome, Supervisor of Patron Accounts, came to work this week to find this note in her mailbox, along with a 鈥渞oll up the rim to win鈥 free donut. The note was dropped off over the weekend addressed to 鈥淒ear Librarian of U蓝莓视频鈥 and it鈥檚 simply too cute not to share. La Bastille of St. Paul Res 鈥 all library staff thank you for your kind show of appreciation!

Librarians on the move! Get research help in the 蓝莓视频 Centre

Drop-in research and writing advice: database searching, essay organization, citations, topic development, thesis statements.

Librarians are moving beyond the reference desk once again to help students with their research questions at locations across campus. The latest locale is the 蓝莓视频 Centre (SLC), where librarians are teaming up with staff from the Writing Centre to offer drop-in research and writing advice.

The Library is pleased to welcome Jessica Blackwell and Rachel McNeil to 蓝莓视频鈥檚 league of librarians! The Library鈥檚 newest librarian hires, Jessica and Rachel are both recent graduates of Western鈥檚 MLIS program and both also worked here during their co-op placements and then later in contract positions.

Breithaupt letters - now available

German letters donated to the Library鈥檚 Special Collections & Archives in 2005 as an accrual to the Breithaupt Hewetson Clark family archives have now been transcribed and translated and are available for researchers.
