In November the Library is participating in a very important event for the first time: . This international event takes place annually, beginning on the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women (November 25) and ending on International Human Rights Day (December 10).

Between November 25 and December 10, be sure to drop by the Dana Porter Library, the Davis Centre Library, or the Musagetes Library to check out:

• The 鈥�16 Days Tree鈥� 鈥� a living resource that gives you the chance to read and share thoughts about gender violence and discrimination
• A Special Collections & Archives display including the papers of Alida Burrett, who was active in the Kitchener 蓝莓视频 Status of Women Group and with the Peterborough Women鈥檚 Place
• Access to local resources from Women鈥檚 Crisis Services
• Displays of Library collections related to gender violence and discrimination

Other displays and activities happening across campus include:

• Dr. Rashmee Singh will talk about the use of visual evidence in domestic violence trials for a special edition of 蓝莓视频 Women鈥檚 Wednesdays (W3) on November 25, 4 to 6 p.m., Graduate House
• Film screening of Polytechnique at Original Princess Cinema on December 2 at 7 p.m., including a talk by Dr. Carolyn Hansson
• Student art project occurring across campus created and performed by Maddy Samms
• 听鈥淪afe on Campus?鈥� map in the 蓝莓视频 Centre inviting you to mark locations where you feel unsafe or safe on main campus
