The Ìý(DOPS) is one of five standards within the 's (AODA)ÌýÌý(IASR), and it includes requirementsÌýfocused on the removal of barriers in public spaces such as trails, beach access routes and exterior paths of travel. RequirementsÌýdo not include areas covered by theÌý (OBC).
The process of incorporating elements of the Built Environment that relate to the OBC is being undertaken by the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing and is still under review.
Please note that theÌýÌýis still in effect, and universities should continue to follow their obligations under this code.
ÌýAccessibility at À¶Ý®ÊÓƵÌýoutlines various accessible amenities on campus including parking, pathways, and housing.
Visit the Accessibility Directorate of Ontario's website for guidelines on Ìýsuch as trails, beach access routes, parking, service counters and fixed waiting areas, eating areas, play spaces and paths of travel.

The University of À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ acknowledges that much of our work takes place on the traditional territory of the Neutral, Anishinaabeg, and Haudenosaunee peoples. Our main campus is situated on the Haldimand Tract, the land granted to the Six Nations that includes six miles on each side of the Grand River. Our active work toward reconciliation takes place across our campuses through research, learning, teaching, and community building, and is co-ordinated within the Office of Indigenous Relations.
