Shalev Ben-David joined the Institute for Quantum Computing (IQC) in 2022 as Assistant Professor in the David R. Cheriton School of Computer Science, where he has been Assistant Professor since July 2018.

Previously, he was a Hartree Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Maryland, College Park. In 2017, Ben-David received his PhD in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, supervised by Scott Aaronson.

His research interests are in classical and quantum complexity theory.
