The Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) Security Proof Workshop is an annual workshop on technical security proofs, with a focus on facilitating interactions and discussion between participants.
The 7th edition of the workshop will be held in-person at the Institute for Quantum Computing in À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ, Canada from September 22-25, 2025.
This workshop is structured as a series of discussions. Participants can contribute by starting the discussion on a chosen topic with a short talk on any of the focus topics. This is then followed by an interactive discussion. To this end, we strongly encourage whiteboard talks.
Interested individuals are requested to contact Aodhán Corrigan and Zhiyao (Michael) Wang, or apply below.
This year, the focus topics are
- Authentication and Composable Security in QKD
- Device Imperfections in QKD (detectors, sources, channels, etc.)
- Any other open problems in QKD security proof (CV-QKD, numerical security proof, standardization of QKD, etc.)
The workshop has limited capacity.
