Abstract:

1. Searching the literature--using the IP databases, mechanics of searching, reviewing results, commenting on results, how to present differences and obligations to disclose results.
2. What to do if you want to protect fundamental research from being restricted by patents. Members of Faculty who have published with the intent to block patent.
3. What to do if you want to protect IP through patents, but, not commercialize it. Members of Faculty who have patented IP with the express purpose of providing free licenses to all.

This is the seventh lecture in the CryptoWorks21 . Knowledgeable speakers will give in-depth presentations that build on previous sessions.

The lectures are designed for researchers working in areas related to information technology, including cryptography and quantum technology.
