On June 15, you're invited to a special evening to launch a year of celebration marking the 50th Anniversary of the founding of the University of ��ݮ��Ƶ School of Architecture. ��ݮ��Ƶ Architecture was created in 1967, Canada’s Centennial year, in anticipation of continued growth and increased demand for design.

Each year, the University of ��ݮ��Ƶ and our Federation of Students thank our community for its partnership and mutual support by hosting ��ݮ��Ƶ Region's flagship Canada Day Celebration.

The Canada Day Celebration offers entertainment for all ages, including a range of family activities, delicious festival food and drinks, live performances by outstanding Canadian talent, and a spectacular fireworks display.

In part of the Faculty of Applied Health Science's 50th anniversary, the faculty is hosting an outdoor movie, taking place in the Village 1 Green on July 25 form 9:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. The movie featured will be " Ferris Bueller's Day Off".

In 2017, the School of Optometry and Vision Science will mark its 50th anniversary since moving to the University of ��ݮ��Ƶ in 1967. We hope you will join us to mark this important milestone!

Matika Wilbur is an acclaimed portrait photographer and social documentarian from the Swinomish�����Ի���Tulalip tribes of the Pacific Northwest. She is currently working on Project 562, a multi-year national photo and narrative undertaking to reveal contemporary Indian identity.
