Located in EC5 4201, the Office of Indigenous Relations is a central hub for First Nations, Inuit, and Métisstudents,researchers, faculty, and staff, along with allies within the ݮƵ campus community. Additionally, the Office of Indigenous Relations providesthe campus community withguidance, support, and resources tostrengthen ourshared visionof reconciliation. ݮƵ Indigenous Student Centre (WISC)
TheݮƵ Indigenous Student Centre(WISC)is located atUnited College. They work to share Indigenous knowledge and provide culturally relevant information and support services with the University of ݮƵ community, including Indigenous and non-Indigenous students, staff, and faculty.
The services that the ݮƵ Indigenous Student Centre provides are “premised on understanding, respect, and trust, as well as a recognition of and sensitivity to the different cultural values and rights of Indigenous peoples and cultures.”
Ceremonial Fire Grounds and Medicine Garden
The ݮƵ Indigenous Student Centre(WISC)has openeda Ceremonial Fire Ground andMedicine Gardenon campus.This space facilitates community-building throughout the university and surrounding area and provides a place for peaceful reflection. This space supports cultural and educational programming and is overseen by WISC.
Indigenous Knowledge Keeper's Space
Located in B.C Mathews Hall (BMH) 3101, Myeengun Henry, Indigenous Knowledge Keeper and Elder welcomes folks to spend time with him in his office. Drop by and say hello, or book an appointment to discuss things with Myeengun by emailing myeengun.henry@uwaterloo.ca.
Indigenous Gathering Space
