Her Excellency the Right Honourable Julie Payette, Governor General of Canada, has including Professor Emeritus Stuart McGill of the University of À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ's Department of Kinesiology.

McGill was named a member of the Order of Canada, recognized for his contributions to understanding the biomechanics of the spinal column and to the development of rehabilitation programs.

Other À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ professors recognized included Donna Theo Strickland, cited as a companion of the Order, and Anne Innis Dagg, recognized as a member.
