Did you begin your Recreation and Leisure Studies degree in 1973? Your fellow classmates Nancy McCalder and Pam Graham have been busy planning a fantastic reunion for your group. While you may not have all graduated in the same year, those who started together in 1973 have had a lasting bond and we are excited to host you back on campus!Ìý

Your reunion begins with check-in, pick up your name tag and enjoy a coffee and refreshments as you visit with fellow alumni, current and retired Faculty. The day includes a tour of the Faculty, new Physical Activities Complex (PAC) facilities and other highlights on our way to the Grad House for lunch. We have planned a tour of Kitchener-À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ for the group as well as a fantastic reception and dinner in the evening.

10 a.m. Faculty of Health Welcome remarks from University of À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ President Vivek Goel and Chair of Recreation and Leisure Studies Troy Glover.
11 a.m. Faculty of Health Tour of Faculty of Health, Recreation and Leisure Studies department and NEW Phyical Activities Complex (PAC) facilities.ÌýA lot has changed in 50 years!
12:30 p.m. Grad House

Join your classmates for lunch at the Grad House. Includes a hot entree and 1 non-alcoholic beverage.ÌýChair of Recreation and Leisure Studies, Troy Glover, will join us to share his thoughts about the Recreation field today and the future. Cash bar is available.

2:30 to 4 p.m. Kitchener-À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ City Tour

Welcome back to Kitchener-À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ! Our professional guide is a former teacher and 16 year City Councillor. She will tour us through new neighbourhoods that showcase technology companies, transportation, housing, cultural centres, recreation facilities and more. A fun, compact engaging tour of one of Canada's most vibrant, growing communities. Fee includes transport and guide.

6 p.m. Proof Kitchen + Lounge, Delta Hotel Enjoy the indoor and outdoor ambiance at Proof.ÌýCash bar available throughout the evening.
7 to 10 p.m. Proof Kitchen + Lounge, private event space, Delta Hotel

Join your classmates off campus at an upscale, trendy restaurant, Proof Restaurant and Lounge for a cash reception and 3 course dinner. ÌýEmcee'd by none other than Peter Tetely! Who knows maybe the spirit of the late Dr. Ng will join us.Ìý

Self led activity St. Jacob's Market The St. Jacobs market is thriving and attracts people from far and near. It isn't quite the same market we remember and is definitely worth a visit. No need to sign up, just make your way to the market on your own schedule. Need a ride??? We will have a sign-up board at the Delta Hotel for anyone wishing to go but needs a ride.
12 to 2 p.m. Federation Hall Forever Black and Gold Luncheon

Join us at Fed Hall for a gourmet buffet lunch, interactive activities,Ìýdisplays and live music. Reconnect and mingle with alumni and friends from all faculties and wear or bring along your favourite University of À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ clothing or memorabilia for a chance to win great prizes!

Milestone Anniversary Celebration
This event will feature a special celebration for alumni celebrating 25th, 50th, 55th and 60th anniversaries, with an archives display of photos and memorabilia from the milestone years and a celebratory address by University of À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ President Vivek Goel.

Cost:Ìý$30.00, includes gourmet buffet lunch and a drink ticket

Leave a little of yourself at UÀ¶Ý®ÊÓƵ. We are donating a bench near the faculty building forÌýstudents, faculty and visitors to enjoy!

Donations of $100, $500, or whatever works best for you,Ìýwill be acceptedÌý in advanceÌýor at the reunion. To be successful, we need to raise a minimum ofÌý$5000! We hope that you will join us in this initiative to leave our mark on UÀ¶Ý®ÊÓƵ! *TaxÌýreceipts will be available after making your donation.

    1. Complete all required fields.
    2. Select Faculty as "Health"
    3. Select Graduation Year as "1977 or 1978"Ìý- This will ensure that you see these events that are private to your class!
  4. On step 3 - "Guests"
    1. Add any guest names who will be attending with you.
  5. On step 4Ìý- "Signature events"
    1. Register for Forever Black and Gold Luncheon on Saturday June 3, if desired.
  6. On step 5Ìý- "Faculty events"
    1. Click the check box beside your name under the heading "Select who is attending"
    2. Under "Registration", now select which ticket you wish to purchase.
