Fun Run - Celebrating 31 years!
The 31stÌý´¡²Ô²Ô³Ü²¹±ôÌýFaculty of Applied Health Sciences (AHS) Fun RunÌýwas a great success!
Over 450Ìýalumni, students, faculty, staff and members of the greater community took part in this year's Fun Run. Rain was in the forecast but the weather cleared up for us! Expert bib tag timing was provided toÌý participants in the 5km race and the fun aspect of this annual event was showcased in the crazy costumes, face painting and balloon animals.Ìý
Runners and those cheering them on were entertained by The Water Boys, À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ's male a cappella ensemble. Jordynn from Orangetheory FitnessÌýled everyone through warm-ups, accompanied by our very own AHSUM student society.ÌýDean James W.E. RushÌýwished all the participants well in his opening remarks and referencedÌýHealth in 3DÌý- AHS' new Impact Report.

$2234 was raised for program. Teens in Motion is an exercise program for teens struggling with their weight (12-16 yrs of age) to encourage participants to be more active, give them the confidence and skills to try new activities in their school or community and educate them on the importance of healthy eating.
