鈥淲hat makes Grebel so unique is how the community makes it feel like a home away from home,鈥 shared PACS student Barak Kline. 鈥淢y experiences as a resident and student have transformed my university experience in a special way that will continue to shape me long after I finish my studies.鈥 Community is central to Grebel, and building connections and accountability is woven into both the residence and academic programs.聽聽

鈥淚 love how Grebel has a space for all kinds of people,鈥 explained Arts student Ella Funk who attends Nutana Park Mennonite Church in Saskatoon. 鈥淎 lot of people feel like outsiders before they come to Grebel, but they often find a home in the various groups and activities.鈥澛
As a PACS major, Barak has embraced learning opportunities like attending Mennonite Central Committee鈥檚 annual student seminar at the UN. 鈥淚鈥檝e thoroughly enjoyed the PACS courses I鈥檝e taken so far,鈥 noted Barak, 鈥渁nd I look forward to my courses this term as they鈥檙e all interdisciplinary in their approach to the issues, challenges, and changes that our world is facing.鈥澛
Students learn inside and outside the classroom. 鈥淐hapel brings diverse perspectives to familiar stories, often thanks to the fields of study of those on the Chapel Committee,鈥 explained Ella. 鈥淚鈥檝e valued developing a more intellectual and discussion-based side to my faith, complementing the spiritual and musical elements I came in with.鈥澛
鈥淭he value of living in community at Grebel is that it offers a place to be seen and heard,鈥 summarized Barak, 鈥渁s we all 鈥 students, staff, and faculty 鈥 strive for excellence and community together.鈥澛
