END OF TERM CONCERTS are an important part of Ensembles that we have really been missing, so towards that end we are holding a VIRTUAL CONCERT.  The Balinese Gamelan Ensemble, Chapel Choir, Choirs@UÀ¶Ý®ÊÓƵ, Integrated Instrumental Ensemble, and Jazz Ensemble will all be participating.  Stay tuned for further details.

The University of À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ Chamber Choir sings a varied program including works by Indigenous composer Andrew Balfour, Indian-American composer Reena Esmail and Haitian-American composer Sydney Guillaume.  Other composers whose works will be performed include Healey Willan, Rene Clausen, Benjamin Britten and Morton Lauridsen. 

Please join us for a joint online concert with the University of À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ Balinese Gamelan Ensemble and the Grebel Community Gamelan.  The video premiere will be released on Thursday, December 9 at 7pm, and will be posted on this website.

Please join us for the online premiere of the Orchestra@UÀ¶Ý®ÊÓƵ Fall Term concert.  The orchestra is directed by Daniel Warren, and this term consists of string players only.  Members include undergraduate students, grad students, staff, and alumni.  

Please join us for a tribute to the arrangers of big band jazz presented by the University of À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ Jazz Ensemble. Directed by Michael Wood, the Jazz Ensemble has been a crowd favourite for many years.  Special guest saxophonist and UW alumni  will also join the band.

Featuring Cellist and Composer , the  and premiering works by Cris Derksen and Karen Sunabacka

Held during the Indigenous Mennonite Encounters in Time and Place conference, attendees and the broader community are invited to attend this free concert, held at the Theatre of the Arts, at the University of À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ.

The University Choir performs an eclectic range of music from around the world.  Directed by Liska Jetchick, the choir consists of students and alumni from all six faculties. This Spring term they will perform Leonard Bernstein's Chichester Psalms, composed in 1965.  

Please join us for the Spring Term orchestra@uwaterloo concert.  Directed by Daniel Warren, this orchestra includes students from across the University in all 6 Faculties.

Join us for an engaging jazz concert in July.  Directed by Michael Wood, the Jazz Ensemble has members from all 6 Faculties, particularly Mathematics. This term they will be featuring the music of Mike Tomaro …  Neal Hefti  … Dave Wolpe & Rob McConnell.
