On May 15, Grebel is teaming up with UݮƵ to launch Giving Day, a 24-hour campaign in support of students across the UݮƵ campus. We are inviting everyone in our Grebel community to be part of it.

Grebel’s priority for Giving Day is to raise money for urgent upgrades to the Grebel residence — specifically HVAC (heating, ventilation and air conditioning), washrooms, and plumbing. These essential improvements will enhance the building's overall functionality and efficiency, while contributing to our Green House Gas (GHG) reduction goals of 35%, and student comfort.

We are so thankful for the generous support of Jim and Goldine Pankratz, one of our matching donors. "We understand the importance of the Grebel residence in community life,” they explained. “This project to update, upgrade and beautify the residence is a great opportunity to improve the quality of life for Grebel students."
Thanks to Jim and Goldine and another anonymous donor, eligible donations to Grebel’s Windows to the Future campaign will be matched 1:1 until matching funds run out. This means that you can DOUBLE your impact by giving to Grebel’s capital campaign between now and midnight on May 15.
Please join with us to support our residence renewal project. Every donation helps!
Sustainability for the future
"Climate change and greenhouse gas (GHG) reduction are critical issues that demand our attention. Many of the classes we take teach about the impact of climate change: how it affects global food security, health, and economic stability.
Caring about and actively working to reduce our carbon footprint aligns with Grebel’s values of stewardship and justice. Students today are the world's future leaders, and we believe that it's crucial for us to see residences such as Grebel making changes to reduce their carbon footprint so that students are aware of the issue as they become leaders."
