Geography a top 50 program in the world

The Faculty of Environment's Geography program ranked 48th in the world in 2015, according to Quacquarelli Symonds (QS), a UK firm today.

The University of ݮƵ rose 17 places to be ranked 152nd in the world and is among just eight Canadian universities ranked in the top 200 in the world and is listed seventh of the Canadian schools.

The Department of Geography and Environmental Management is very pleased to announce the award winners for the2014-15 academic year.

Canadian Association of Geographers Award

Presented each year by The Canadian Association of Geographers to the most outstanding student graduating in each Geography honours/majors programme at universities or colleges across Canada.

Department of Geography and Environmental Management Academic Achievement Award

Geography at the University of ݮƵ improved on its global ranking from according to results published today. Last year Geography was ranked in the top 100by UK firm Quacquarelli Symonds (QS). This year the program vaults into the top 50, at 48.

Esri Canada is pleased to announce the 2015 International Esri Young Scholars Award program. The award is available to any candidate studying GIS at a Canadian university or college subject to the terms and conditions listed below.

·Applicants need to have used Esri technology to complete a project or conduct interesting research.

·Applicants must be enrolled full-time in undergraduate or graduate program (or graduated in 2014) from a college or university.
