From climate-resilient infrastructure toaffordable housing, our researchers are re-imagining what urban life can be and turning bold ideas into blueprints forthriving communities.The Faculty of Environment has always included aSchool of Planning, and the School of Planning was one of the firstin Canadawith research-intensiveand professionaldegreesfrom Bachelor to PhD. This is becausewe recognized over 50 years agothatthe complex interactions betweenbuilt and natural environmentscould not beunderstoodin isolationif we wantedto drive transformative change for people and the planet.
